About Us

 Opening originally in 1972 Persia's
Haircutting Salon started as a small two seat barber shop on
Thayer St. It was run successfully for many years by its owner
Mario Persia. In July of 2004 one of the shops lead stylists,
Wassim Chedid, bought the shop from Mario. In January of 2005
he converted it into an elegant European style salon with six
chairs, two washing stations, a front desk and a comfortable
waiting area.
Since its redesign Salon
Persia, as it's now called, has taken on some of most
professional and trendy hairstylists in Providence.
We have imported some of the most cutting edge products
from all over the world. Our pricing structure is very
reasonable and our stylists are very well trained in
some of the latest and most popular techniques. Come
down to see our esthetically pleasing and comfortable
Salon, our friendly staff, and the famous Thayer St.
You will leave with confidence knowing you look your
very best. Salon Persia is open Monday through Saturday
from 9am to 6pm. Walk-ins are welcome or for an appointment

Wassim Chedid
Originally from Lebanon, Wassim studied hairstyling
and was featured in hair shows in France, London and
Germany. In 2001 he immigrated to America and brought
his expertise to a small barber shop on Thayer St. Wassim
transformed the shop into a stylishly elegant salon
and is now the owner. He specializes in hairstyling,
razor cuts, hair coloring, Liscio (Japanese straightening), hair
extensions, wedding, prom and special occasion up do's and other specialty treatments.

Sara DeCristoforo

Nicholas (Zakhia) Chedid
Nicholas is a world renowned hairstylist who has trained and worked in London, Paris, Switzerland, Amsterdam, Italy, Stockholm, Barcelona and Brussels. He participated in the World Hairstyling Tournament in Paris and won first place. He has also won 8 other championships around the world. He is proficient a trimming barber, male and female hair stylist and creative colorist. Mario Persia
Mario opened Persia's Hair Cutting Salon in 1972. After
thirty two years of successful business he sold the
shop to Wassim. He continues to work at the salon for
his love of cutting hair and his dedication to his faithful
customers. Mario specializes in barber and razor cuts.
